Welcome to our little corner of the web. We shear alpacas, llamas, and sometimes sheep, goats, and a dog or two. Here you will find the services we offer with prices on what it will cost, and some information about us.
Midwest Shearing is a family team who travel Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa shearing alpacas, and llamas. We mostly do small farms (less then 15), but we can also handle the larger farms too. (100+) We entered the alpaca industry in 2001 breeding and showing alpacas, we can also offer advice on parasite management, husbandry, pasture management, and barn management.
There are shearers out there that only know one thing, and that's how to shear an alpaca/llama quickly. While others travel from across the world to shear. Being local has its advantages.
